It started with a question crewmates kept asking
I’m a Master Mariner with 20+ years in the maritime field, across oil, chemical, and gas tanker operations — the kind of work where a missed detail in a safety audit isn’t a small mistake, it’s a real risk. Somewhere along the way, colleagues and crewmates started asking me the same question, contract after contract: “what do I actually do with this money?”
For years, the answer was informal — advice given over a coffee in the mess room, or a message exchanged between contracts. After COVID reshaped how a lot of us thought about our finances, I decided to formalise it properly. I became an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor in 2021, and ChartMyFunds grew out of that decision — a way to bring real structure and access to the kind of guidance I’d already been giving informally for years.
